What kind of fire truck is it?
This is a 1936 Ford Flathead V-8 1 1/2 ton chassis, General Manufacturing Fire Engine. It has a single stage pump that has been disengaged.
It was originally serviced an Illinois Quaker Factory. It was later acquired by private individuals and was used for promotions and parades. Fire Truck Hawaii, LLC. found it in Texas and shipped it over to Honolulu.
We call it "Engine 50" after our 50th state.

How many people can it carry?
Engine 50 has a 14 passenger capacity. Which means it can have a driver and guide in the front and 12 passengers in the rear.
Engine 50 is equipped with perimeter bench seating with seat belts. 6 passengers per side. For the longer rides, it is most comfortable wiht 8 adults and 4 children.

Are you registered and insured?
Yes, Fire Truck Hawaii, LLC. is registered with the State of Hawaii Public Utilities Commission, P.U.C.#1877-C. We meet or exceed the mandatory insurance requirements. We are registered with the State of Hawaii Motor Vehicle Safety Office.

The members of Fire Truck Hawaii,LLC. are profesional fire fighters. We are fire fighters first. We are trained as emergency vehicle operators, Emergency Medical Technicians, BLS Healthcare Providers/instructors, and in water safety.
No, Fire Truck Hawaii, LLC. has no affiliation with the Fire Department. Fire Truck Hawaii,LLC is an independent operating enterprise.

Fire Truck Hawaii,LLC. is available for parades, parties, tours, private tours, or any other special event.Fire Truck Hawaii has authentic fire fighting coats and helmets for guest to wear and take a memorable photograph. Fire Truck Hawaii also has plastic fire helmets as souvenirs for the children.
We have incorporated a little fire fighting eduacation with historical information. Tours can be tailored depending on the event.
